Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of reports, data, and any other materials provided to you through PriceScope (“the Service”). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By purchasing or using any report, you agree to abide by this policy.

2. Permitted Use

Reports are licensed to you for internal business use only. You may use report data to:

  • Inform your own pricing, purchasing, and merchandising decisions
  • Analyse competitor product ranges, pricing strategies, and market positioning
  • Conduct internal market research and competitive benchmarking
  • Share data within your own organisation for legitimate business purposes

3. Prohibited Use

You may not, without prior written consent from PriceScope:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit report data in any form
  • Publish report data on any public-facing website, social media platform, or public forum
  • Use report data to build, train, or enhance a competing product or service
  • Merge report data into a database or product that is offered to third parties
  • Misrepresent the source, origin, or provenance of the data
  • Present report data as your own proprietary research without attribution
  • Use the Service or report data for any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction
  • Use the Service in any way that infringes the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying methodology, software, or algorithms of the Service
  • Use automated tools to place bulk or fraudulent orders
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service

4. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of report data complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes of conduct in your jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, competition law, consumer protection regulations, data protection legislation, and any sector-specific regulations that may apply to your business.

PriceScope provides data and does not provide legal, business, or strategic advice. You should seek independent professional advice if you are uncertain about the legality or appropriateness of any particular use of report data.

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. If we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have breached this policy, we may:

  • Suspend or terminate your access to the Service without notice or refund
  • Refuse to process future orders
  • Take any other action we deem necessary to protect our rights, our Service, or third parties
